Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 March 2007 Share Posted 1 March 2007 What do you about some bands who later experiment with sound in their production. I am all for them having a go and changing direction, but some people, especially music critics, have been very sceptical. What are others opinions and what groups have done this? My faves to have done this include:- Pink Floyd in the mid 70s U2 for Achtung Baby, Zooropa and Passengers Beach Boys with Pet Sounds REM especially on Reveal (an amazing album) Japan However, some were previously experimental and then went more poppy like Human League (whose Reproduction and Travelogue albums are excellent) Talking Heads Simple Minds (experimental albums of Reel to Reel Cacophony and Empires & Dance) Pulp Nitin Sawhney to some extent
Zingari Posted 1 March 2007 Share Posted 1 March 2007 there's quite a few bands who should be experimenting with dangerous unstable compounds
