lookwhaticando Posted 21 April 2007 Share Posted 21 April 2007 i,ve tried to post a few pictures on here recently and i keep getting 'sorry dynamic picture not allowed'. what is a dynamic picture and how do i get round this? Dynamic pictures have URLs which don't end with a .png .bmp .jpg .jpe .gif for example. http://some-website.net/images/picture_002.gif http://some-website.net/images/viewimage.php?pic=002 The first one is valid, it has a .gif extension. The second one is dynamic. Some 'dynamic' images are truly dynamic - the website actually builds the image. Such images really can't be linked, because there's no real picture to link as such. However, some dynamic images are merely called up from a database, based on their ID, and there might be some hope here. Sometimes, if you right click the image and hit "Properties..." (IE) or "View Image" (FireFox) you may find a proper URL for the image, that isn't dynamic. Only sometimes, however. If you don't find a proper usable URL, you're out of luck - your best route of attack now is to re-search for the picture from somewhere else and try that instead. You *might* be able to save the picture yourself and upload it to photobucket or imageshack. A lot of websites that use dynamic pictures specifically to stop people like us from borrowing them.
