Geo V Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 I suppose we havent sold a player and got a sell-on in place for years have we? Unless a deal was struck with Rotherham to give us 30% of COG`s future fee which would net us at least 50p! I see Ipswich are lining up a few prem players like former keeper Richard Wright and Franny Jeffers on permanent deals. I suppose there wages will be funded by the sell on clause set-up on former striker Darren Bent which is 20% of any fee over £2.6m. That should earn them over £2m the lucky sods. http://ipswichtown.rivals.net/default.asp?...mp;stid=8447021 When was the last time we had a sell on-clause for a player that earned us some half decent cash????

I remember when we brought Mark Draper from Notts County and they had a sell on clause and netted a tidy profit when we sold him to Villa. I can't remember us recieving a fee though through a sell-on clause
Ric Flair Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Not so much a sell on clause, but that extra million we got for Connolly was tidy. Just a shame we didn't see a penny of it in terms of transfers.

Wils Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Best bit of business we ever did. Id say selling Heskey for 11 Million was.
Geo V Posted 18 May 2007 Author Posted 18 May 2007 The 1.5/1.6m whatever it was on Wise was a disaster but we managed to get most of our money back for Rowett which was suprising at the time as I thought we couldnt get more than a million for him. Im sure we got about 2.5m for him.
