Very strange too that Kubica nearly made contact to the retired Scott Speed at the side of the track.

You might be able to see it on a few replays.

I see the videos of the crash can no longer be found on youtube due to a copyright claim by Formula 1 Management.

Good fvcking choice too.

Robert Kubica has been discharged from hospital, less than 24 hours after his massive crash in the Canadian Grand Prix.

The BMW Sauber driver was released from Montreal’s Sacre Coeur hospital at noon on Monday, and drove himself away in a BMW X5.

The accident occurred on lap 27 of Sunday’s race, when Kubica struck a concrete wall with terrifying force and barrel-rolled across the track after clipping the back of Jarno Trulli’s Toyota on a flat-out section of road.

Miraculously, he emerged from the accident virtually unscathed. Intensive CT scans and other checks revealed only mild concussion and a sprained ankle.

“I have no pain and feel well,†the 22-year-old Pole said as he left the hospital.

“I want to thank everyone for the medical attention I received and for all the good wishes.

“[bMW motorsport director] Mario Theissen and other team members came to visit me, and also thanks to Jarno Trulli who came as well.

“I am happy that I have been able to leave the hospital so quickly and will now prepare for the race in Indianapolis.â€

Before being given the all-clear to race in this weekend’s US Grand Prix, Kubica will have to undergo further tests by the FIA medical delegate at the track on Thursday, as is standard procedure following big accidents.

The regulations give teams until 4pm on Thursday to confirm their driver line-up for the weekend.
