Interesting. I know you've just said you can't describe the sound but could you have a go? Any similar bands? I love DJ Shadow you see and if he likes them then I probably will too. Closest I could get would be Portishead fronted by Jeff Buckley, but that is LAME as a comparison. They mix live band stuff with loops and a live DJ, most of it is pretty laidback, a bit soulful.
