the_don Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Anyoone on here like Stateless? (Leeds band, supported DJ Shadow on tour recently). I'm on the look out for their album...
the_don Posted 2 July 2007 Author Posted 2 July 2007 Replying to myself is a little sad, but I got hold of the album, great stuff...Kinda hard to describe, but everyone should check them out at least

Interesting. I know you've just said you can't describe the sound but could you have a go? Any similar bands? I love DJ Shadow you see and if he likes them then I probably will too.
the_don Posted 2 July 2007 Author Posted 2 July 2007 Well I'm happy to try, but I don't think I could do it justice... Closest I could get would be Portishead fronted by Jeff Buckley, but that is LAME as a comparison. They mix live band stuff with loops and a live DJ, most of it is pretty laidback, a bit soulful. Oh what the hell, it doesn't sound like anyone else, really...The Myspace is http://www.myspace.com/statelessonline

Even if it is a lame comparison! They sound well worth checking out, so I will do exactly that. Merci.
