Suffolk_fox Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 This will get the Sheff Utd chairman on his high horse again. Good! I know there is a lot of anti Sheff Utd sentiment, but I really think they have been wronged here. West Ham have behaved terribly in this whole affair, and should receive a harsher punishment than a club having to go into administration for reasons which are sometimes beyond their control.
mancunianfox Posted 19 July 2007 Posted 19 July 2007 This is boring now.Sheff Utd have already embarrased themselves, now West Ham seem to be going the same way. Let him go. I thought that West Ham had to sever all ties with any 3rd Party Involvement in Tevez's contract in order to be allowed to play him for the last games of the season?Surely if this guy STILL has an interest in the ownership, West Ham MUST be punished for fielding an illegible player? How have Sheffield United embarrassed themselves? If West Ham didn't severe third party ties as they claimed that they had done then they fielded an ineligible player not just before the £5m fine but after it too. Thats the same infringement not once but TWICE! Whether or not you think that they should or shouldn't have been deducted points the fact that he was allowed to play after the PL found out about the infringement is very suspicious. Tevez scored the goals and played a huge part in keeping them up and he really shouldn't have played for the rest of the season. I think SU have a right to feel agrieved. Also if West Ham have severed third party ties and do own the player than Manchester United are in the wrong over tapping up Tevez by not gaining permission from West Ham to speak to the player.
