Wolves?

I have been watching with interest over the course of the pre-season and I really don't understand why everyone thinks that Wolves are either going to walk to the Championship title or even be in the mix for the top two...

Yes, they have bought a few good players and with Eastwood should get a few more goals but one player doesn't make a team. Following on from that, you could look at the team and say, yep, they've got a good chance of getting into the play-offs at least but from what I can see and tell, I don't really see them challenging the likes of Sheffield United who are my tip for the title.

You then have to also take into account that a lot of teams could do well against them... Leicester, West Brom, Sheffield United, Southampton, Palace, Preston, Cardiff and Watford all stand a big chance of getting something off them and then of course Wolves have never been that great at the back which could lead to them losing a few surprise games... (Perhaps a few of those teams are a little optimistic but you have to admit they have a fair chance.)

All in all, I could see them in the Play-Offs but thats about all I see them making... I really don't know what the fuss is about...

It's not just him though. The squad is full of young quality.

Maybe not so at the back but up front.

If we at LCFC are optimistic with Mr Mandaric,im sure the Wolves fans have even more reasons to be with Morgan at the helm!!

There is no way we are a top two side just yet. But with McCarthy in charge we wont lose to many silly games like we did in the Jones and taylor days. Teams like west brom, Preston, Leicester and southampton all do well against us yes, But none of those sides got more points than wolves last season. so over a season of 46 games yes im confident that we will be close to the top to sides of charlton and sheff utd and waiting for one of them to fail. I have said all along we will finish third or there abouts.

We have four quality strikers on Keogh, Elliott, Eastwood and the lazy but talented Bothroyd aswel as one of the best midfields in the league consisting of Kighty, Potter, Olofinjana and Jarvis. Our defence looks average at the moment but we have now been told there is more money to spend on a good defender or 2 before the transfer deadline

They have a big advantage of having a manager come in who has managed to create a team and build on it. Eastwood is a very good player and may make a big difference but I think the settled squad that they have and more importantly the fact no significant departures have occurred at the club makes them a good bet for the top 6.
