Karaoke?

As for the atmosphere at Charlton, it was as shameful as the teams performance apart from the block that I was in on the far right of the stand. Yes this has been discussed many a time but what can be done about it?

I was thinking the other day and what about maybe organising a karaoke evening at the walkers where we could all get together have a good sing song and generally have a laugh. We could advertise it at the games and make it happen. We could also spend the evening creating some new songs. This might encourage some of the moaners to come along and see what its like.

You never know, it might work?

Not sure iif the point has been raised before but thought id give it a try.

Please dont berrate me for trying.

What does everybody think? ;)

But the quality of football has rarely improved in the last 3 years and some might say it is unlikely to in the next few!

we need to do something about the atmosphere end of!

I think it is partly down to our desire in wanting to see competitive football played, and partly to do with the fans' belief in their team.

Back in the good old Lenny Glover Filbo days, we didn't win every game but we played hard football and as fans, we knew they were giving their all to win.

The atmosphere in Filbo on any Saturday was good then.

I'm afraid I wasnt around to remember much of the old filbert atmosphere

Yes I know that if the team performs well, the fans will sing. But maybe if the fans are singing, the team will feel the passion of the fans and might show some passion in their play! you might think im talking shit fair enough but the atmosphere is shyte tbh.

And therein lies the Catch 22 situation..

The team aren't competitive, so the fans don't respond by singing;

The fans don't sing, so the team doesn't respond!

If you have the belief we WILL win, or at least, die trying, you will hear singing.

And some decent songs printed in the programme might be an idea. One's with no swearing in so the oldies and very young can join in.

Personally I don't like hearing 5 year old's singing songs about mastubation and referee's..

I can see your point here mate.

The idea I put forward earlier about the karaoke night, maybe some people off of here could get together and create some new songs and then we could have an event at the walkers where we could try and teach fans a few songs!

Off corse there are pros and cons but its worth a try i think
