Bryn Posted 19 October 2007 Posted 19 October 2007 Couldn't see a thread. Campbell Joins On LoanPosted on: Thu 18 Oct 2007 The Tigers have signed Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell on loan until January. The 20-year-old arrives at the KC Stadium looking to gain some first team experience having made two first team appearances for the Old Trafford club this season. Campbell, who counts pace and athleticism as his main assets, is a player City manager Phil Brown has been tracking for several months and he's likely to be included in the squad to face Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday. Speaking about the arrival of Campbell, City first team coach Steve Parkin said: "I don't think it's any secret that we like Fraizer and he's coming to us from a good club. "We believe he can do a good job and the important thing for us now is to make him feel very much at home and get him into the fold as quickly as possible. "We have a very tight-knit, super group of lads and I'm sure he'll enjoy his time here. "We've watched Fraizer over a period of months rather than weeks. Our chief scout Bob Shaw has seen him on several occasions as have Brian Horton and myself. "He was also on the television a number of times during Manchester United's pre-season because he played a lot of games. "I think we're all aware of his ability and what he can bring to us. It's all about giving him the confidence and opportunity to show that, which is something I'm sure we'll do." Campbell has been allocated squad number 25. They beat off 5 clubs to get him, and I've got £10 that says we were one of them.

Bryn Posted 19 October 2007 Author Posted 19 October 2007 Most probably considering Megson has made it clear he wants more firepower. Yep, and that plus the fact that Megson said yesterday that he was hoping for a new addition ahead of the Scunny game adds up for me.
Geo V Posted 20 October 2007 Posted 20 October 2007 I hope it wasnt us! He may be decent but we need a more experienced striker I think.
Wilkesy Posted 22 October 2007 Posted 22 October 2007 Hes scored both goals tonight as Hull are 2-0 up against Barnsley!
Sods Posted 22 October 2007 Posted 22 October 2007 Looked amazing, kept thinking it was DJ. Same type of player but frazer puts himself about a lot lot more, very quick as well.

Bryn Posted 23 October 2007 Author Posted 23 October 2007 Aye an exceptional home debut, the fans writing into the local paper are absolutely raving about him. Still, good to know we've got a striker on the way.
