Chairman of the Bored Posted 12 November 2007 Posted 12 November 2007 I know there's a Sigur Ros appreciation thread on here somewhere, but I thought I should just weigh in with a plug for their new film, Heima (which means "at home"), out on DVD last week. It really is quite good! Excellent footage of Iceland (why does everyone look so healthy?) and coverage of the 13 or so gigs they played for free in their homeland in 2006 at the end of the Takk tour. The music is superb as you'd expect. A must for any serious Sugur Ros fans out there.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 November 2007 Posted 14 November 2007 I need to see this. A friend of a friend has it and I was chatting to him about it, I'll try and impress him with the Ormonpops charm. Soon Heima will be in my hands...

I bought the Deluxe version with the booklet. Lovely stuff. Damned if I can find a cheap flight to Iceland though. Really fancy it after seeing this film. And to top that, Ryanair have stopped flying to Malmo! That's a scandal as Malmo/Copenhagen is so cool. Need to find cheap flights to both Malmo and Iceland. Any ideas?

Chairman of the Bored Posted 30 November 2007 Author Posted 30 November 2007 hv you tried sterling.dk - i know they hv just started flights from ema-oslo, & cheap too Thanks for that. Just checked and hooray (!), they fly from east Midlands Airport. That's a relief as I'm trying to get tickets for some of Kent's Nordic Tour in 2008 and Malmo is a definite. Might also try for Bergen. I'm a happy bunny now
Chairman of the Bored Posted 3 December 2007 Author Posted 3 December 2007 I have obtained a Kent ticket for Malmo, Saturday 22nd March. Flying out via East Mids to Copenhagen. Bit rash of me, but didn't check to see if City are at home. Eek!
