kidder_wolf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 He was a failure at League 2 Hereford last year, no thanks. So what? Michael Kightly failed at Southend. He went to into non league and is now one of the best players outside the top flight and an England U21 international. Fleetwood is the type of player i would like to see Wolves go for. I think he could do really well in this league.
kidder_wolf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Where is fleetwood playing now Forest Green
Staf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Maybe fleetwood wont be so good but i would rather see a young striker like him than cort

Agreed, but like Covscum's Robbie Simpson, it's just too much of a step up. After all, Stuart Fleetwood was shite for Hereford...We're on the next level to them.
Staf Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Of the charlton forum addickted.net : Charlton assistant boss Phil Parkinson has been scouting Forest Green Rovers hitman Stuart Fleetwood. The 21-year-old has been in sensational form for the Blue Square Premier outfit this season, attracting huge interest from a host of league clubs after scoring 23 goals in 23 games. Addicks number two Parkinson watched the Wales U21 international in action in Rovers' 3-0 FA Cup defeat of Rotherham last week, while South London rivals Crystal Palace are also thought to be monitoring his progress. Fleetwood is the leading British scorer in the country and is likely to cost Charlton a substantial fee for a non-league player, but with just three fit forwards in Alan Pardew's squad at present, a striker will be high on his list of priorities.
