Rincewind Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 on the BBC's Politics Show webite they are asking for emails on views on standingsections at football matches. bbc.co.uk/politicsshow
Simi Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Taken from Standupsitdown. I was lucky enough to catch the majority of this debate. Was on for about 15 minutes on 'The Politics Show'.Am pleased to say the debate was very pro-safe standing. Basically consisted of looking at all the positives of safe standing and kept linking the arguement to the successful German models which is good. Then they interviewed a Brummy MP who was all for standing and he made some great points. Twas a great debate basically and the fact it was on the BBC is bound to turn a few heads. The FLA refused to take part. Why is that, Mr De Quidt? Why wouldn't you be interviewed by the BBC and if you don't want to face the cameras, why not get one of your Inspectors to do so on your behalf?I'd love to write and ask him.... Link - Just under 10 mins in What a surprise the FLA were unavailable to take part.
