The People's Hero Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 I've just drank the best part of 3 bottles at work, due, in main part to my 3 colleagues all having their cars with them. Taittinger. It was nice. But now I feel drunk and gassy. Anyone a fan of this stuff? I like it at Xmas/New Year etc but really, it's a bit over-rated to my mind.
Tabou Posted 13 December 2007 Posted 13 December 2007 I think it is the best thing ever invented. ESPECIALLY at Christmas time. It would be one of my three items to take to a desert Island... However, my previous boss (who also happened to be my Mother and Stepfather) would disagree....the £250 champagne bill at last years' Christmas Party would be the reason why... Drinking at work is always fun. More so when nobody knows you keep a bottle of something in the filing cabinet for those 'slow' days... "My name is Tabou404...and I am an alcoho....."

Dom Perignon, the Benedictine monk, was originally employed by his abbey to get the bubbles out of the champagne, according to Gerard Liger-Belair's new book, Uncorked: the Science of Champagne.
