Ultra Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 If you read that back but substitute Allardyce for Holloway, Newcastle for Leicester and Bolton for Plymouth and it pretty much sums up our situation! Yes, everyone's really impressed by our "pacey strikers" and "quality wingers", aren't they?
Thracian Posted 6 January 2008 Posted 6 January 2008 Allardyce has shown poor management skills in taking Newcastle and trying to get them to play to Bolton's strengths rather than their own. If he wanted to play like Bolton, why not just stay there? Newcastle had pacey strikers and quality wingers and yet he's playing this baffling 4-3-3. It's no good for Newcastle and if he was a good manager he'd have made a system that worked for Newcastle, rather than sticking them with the Bolton 4-3-3 and trying to shoehorn the players in. Good point that.
