The Football Association have appointed Quest to undertake an audit of the January transfer window.

Quest, chaired by Lord Stevens, conducted the Premier League's inquiry into bungs and now they will again be looking at deals done by England's top flight clubs.

Stevens and his team will take a random look at transfers from last month.

"We are very pleased to have engaged Quest given their excellent credentials and experience," said FA Director of Governance Jonathan Hall.

"However, this transfer audit is a very different undertaking to their previous inquiry carried out for the Premier League.

"It will focus specifically on reviewing The FA's processes in respect of the new Agents Regulations, assessing compliance with FA Rules and identifying any areas of poor practice within the industry."

The FA have also set up a new 'Whistleblower telephone line' as part of their new measures.

FA orders transfer dealings audit _44426311_fa_badge_203.gif The Football Association has appointed Quest to conduct an audit into transfers in English football. The audit will look at dealings which took place in the January transfer window and Quest will also examine moves during the summer of 2008.

Quest are a firm of investigators who conducted an inquiry into transfer irregularities between January 2004 and 2006 for the Premier League.

The FA said: "This is a very different undertaking to their previous inquiry."

FA Director of Governance Jonathan Hall added: "It will focus specifically on reviewing the FA's processes in respect of the new Agents Regulations, assessing compliance with FA Rules and identifying any areas of poor practice within the industry."

It is understood the audit will focus on a selection of transfers rather than being an exhaustive investigation into all the moves in January and this summer.

Premier League and Football League deals will be among the transfers examined.

The FA has also set up a whistleblower hotline for anyone wanting to give information about possible problems.

Quest's inquiry for the Premier League looked at 362 transfers in total and in the final report in June last year 17 transfers involving five clubs were 'uncleared'.

So this is why Holloway's job is at risk  Does he know something about MM :dunno::giggle:
