Jordan Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 A few days ago, I started playing my 1.5-year-old, fully-charged iPod, but it shut off as if the battery had instantly drained out. I then tried to recharge it via USB on my computer, but the "Please Wat - Very Low Battery" message stayed on the iPod, even after a few hours. The only way I can charge it is through a wall outlet charger, but when I play the iPod, the battery dies instantly. I've also tried charging it and then syncing and restoring it through the computer, but again ... fail. I've heard plenty about the iPod one-year-battery-curse; has this happened six months later for me? Is there something I can do to get it up and running again, or shall I just be thankful that my iPod has had a good innings and let it go up to iPod Heaven, where it can rest in the Lord's Bose SoundDock?
syston_fox Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 I think there's a way of just changing the battery isnt there? Try on the Apple website for info on how you do it.
Jordan Posted 27 July 2008 Author Posted 27 July 2008 I just ordered a replacement battery--I'm going to try to fix it myself.
