General Smuts Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 Apart from the train breaking down and making us about an hour late, it was very good.Topped off by a win at poker which gives me a lot of beer money. I've got a feeling Tommeh won't be so happy. I'd like to point out at this juncture that i got fleeced for twice as muchas Tommeh and got home at least 2 hours after you. So shut up. I was NOT a happy bunny. Well at least until i remembered the game and i were smiling again!
General Smuts Posted 31 August 2008 Posted 31 August 2008 I was saying before kick off that the difference in attitude on the pitch during warm-ups is palpable. Everyone down there is enjoying what they are doing - everyone is wearing a smile...especially when they are blasting balls high over the goal...lethal for those of us behind the goal in such a narrow and steep stand! That poor woman managed to milk her ice-pack injury for the entire game...I wonder if she was allowed to keep it as a souvenir? He was going mental! I loved it when he dived into the crowd. It is brilliant to have a Leicester back. Brilliant. You must have been sat right near me then. I didn't see you though and we couldn't find Tailors either. Poor form.
