Really? So why is it that shows that have poor audience figures get canned then? Isn't that because they're not popular with the general public so they stop producing it? Eldorado is a prime example (showing my age here!)

They can't JUST go on figures as the BBC are required to show certain shows under condition of the lisence fee. They have to cater for all.

EDIT - Just to add I wish they did have a more of a sport budget too, it's just very unlikely to happen due to the reasons I've stated.

Absolutely bloody ludicrous that I'd have to pay ten pounds a month to a fooking Irish television company to watch the England national games. Their coverage is crap and is not worth an extra tenner a month. Plus they're Paddies. Probably funding the IRA. :ph34r:
