davieG Posted 13 November 2008 Posted 13 November 2008 City manager Nigel Pearson is optimistic that new signing Marc Edworthy will be fit to face Swindon Town at the County Ground on Saturday afternoon. The 35-year-old defender was substituted after 30 minutes of the 1-0 victory over Yeovil Town in midweek with a calf problem. But Edworthy has responded to treatment and should be in contention for another starting spot this weekend. Pearson said: "Marc was effectively suffering with a dead leg after getting a very good block in in the first half on Tuesday night. "Unfortunately it was something that he couldn't play on with at the time but I think he's got a realistic chance of being available for Saturday." Meanwhile, Kerrea Gilbert could also be back in contention after recovering from a hamstring strain. The right-back has not played since the 2-2 draw with Walsall on October 21. Patrick Kisnorbo (knee), Stephen Clemence, Bruno N'Gotty (both Achilles) and James Wesolowski (ankle) remain sidelined.
