Dumped out of FA Cup and JPT by Histon and Brighton respectively, manager leaves today and the visit of the table-topping side tomorrow. I can't imagine Swindon being in the right frame of mind for this. 2-0 City on my first visit to the County Ground!

How about the last couple of league games? I'm sure S****horpe and Oldham thought the same. With us getting rid of the manager i'm pretty confident of a point on sat due to him being one of the worst managers ever.

A mate of mine publishes Four Four Two, so we went to the game as guests of the club and, before the game everyone there (CEO, back room staff, players, fans) gave the impression that they were glad he'd gone. He had clearly "lost the dressing room" and no one was making a secret of it. However, I doubt this had as much impact on the result as our inability to keep the ball on the floor in the first half and defend crosses, corners and long throws.

Worth making the point that, sat in a dreary directors' box, the Leicester support was loud way better than Swindon's (until the scored). The line "it's gonna rain in a minute" created the biggest cheer amongst Swindon fans up till then. And for what it's worth, Swindon do seem like a really friendly club, very genuine people.

I was sitting in the main stand, not a million miles from the directors box (I travel independently and often sit with the home support) and the folk around me were pretty friendly despite realising that I 'was not one of them'. Exchanged comments with some of the locals throughout the game and they gave me a bit of a hard time at full time (fully deserved) but nothing remotely nasty.

Decent club.
