Squeaking Clutch Pedal

Recommended Posts

My clutch pedal is making some stiff sounds. Seems to be working ok, what could it be?

Would a bit of WD40 sort it out?

Both my last two cars had squeaky clutch pedals when I got them, both rectified by spraying a bit of WD40 onto the mechanism. It can be a bit hard to get to, and you might need to remove a bit of trim to access it.

If it's not juddering or anything, it's probably just that

is the clutch hydraulic or cable operated ?

if its a cable it may be possible to get some light grease into it , but it may be better to have a new one fitted as a snapped clutch cable is quite likely to occur if its badly worn and dry
