Those who booed Deep Freeze...........

It's a disgrace. Those people that boo our own players aren't real fans. It's those kind of people that have held Leicester City back over the years. They're a bunch of inbred ****wits. So please, frig off, you're not welcome.

Bit harsh isn't it.

I booed him, I have every right to. Not only is he an untalented player he is lazy and useless. I booed him because he doesn't try and I don't like that, and I booed the managers poor decision to bring him on.

Sorry but didn't realise that means I'm not a real fan despite the fact I spend every penny I have on the club and go to 99% of home and away games

I could not agree more. I live in Bristol so I only manage about 15 games a season and I consider myself a real fan .A fan who has watched bloody cefax to see if we’ve scored when there’s been no radio commentary. A fan who left Leicester at the age of 10 but carried on following them even when evil forces tried persuading me to follow Liverpool or manure etc. In my book if your pulling the blue shirt on and you look like your not trying and im paying you your wages than sod it your going to have to expect some abuse. He’s a big boy on lots of money .Perhaps the people who boo care more than the fans who put up with crap

If you boo the team then you have to accept some of the responsibility for the clubs predicament - simple.

Those who boo the players obviously have little idea of the psychology of playing. If a member of the team is constantly berated by his own fans the chances are it will affect his performances, particularly if that player is already low on confidence and has recently joined the club.

As I said earlier in this thread, if the boo boys had got their way there would have been no O'Neill era. But still they do not learn.

Then he probably shouldn't be in the team - fans only start booing players after a series of poor performances, not one individual bad performance. If you or I weren't up to our jobs we'd soon be kicked out - just as MDV should have been dropped (and subsequently was).

That doesn't excuse the booing. If the manager thinks a player is underperforming then it is up to him to make the decsion. By booing fans are exacerbating the problem.

There's also a big difference between most day-to-day jobs and football. De Vries is obviously suffering from a lack of confidence - in order for him to regain it Levein has to make a decision as to whether or not he should play him. Dropping him could further damage his confidence or possibly have the opposite effect. It's often the case that if you're not playing well but then get a few breaks your confidence is restored - seems to be happening to Connolly at the moment. I thnk that Levein should persist with De Vries, whether that is from the bench or starting him. However, the fans need to understand this, put their faith in Levein and be patient.

I suppose we can add another important criteria DV lacks then-mental toughness. Its not for us to give it to him,its a character he should have within.3 more years of him, I say get rid asap.

It's not really a question of mental toughness. If he lacked it he wouldn't get onto the pitch in front of 20/30 thousand in the knowledge that he's likely to be berated by his own support. Footballers are human beings also and that kind of treatment is likely to affect their performances.

Frenzied,DV has the one key thing no one else has to stop the booing or the doubts about his playing ability. That is simply to PLAY WELL!!! Do that and every one shuts up and says how good he is.DV has to figure that out.Thats why he's the pro and we're the punters that sit in the stand and pay.

De Vries would know if he's had a bad game and so would Levein and the rest of the team. The fans do not need to boo him. Not only does it further deflate his confidence but also that of the other players, manager and rest of the fans.

It's utterly self defeating for fans to boo their own players, whether that be Jordan Stuart or De Vries.

MDV did look like he was having a better game, until he picked up his injury.

I think he'll come good, although it's slightlly worrying to hear from Hearts fans that he's only up for the big games.

The problem with the boo boys is once they take a dislike to a player it dont matter how well a player is doing, he will get boo'd. The boo boys simply wont give that player a chance to prove himself. Stewart is a prime example of this

Me and the OH were saying exactly the same only a few minutes ago!

Don't tar all the boo boys with the same brush. I have boo'd certain players before but when they play well I will praise them. Not everyone is stubborn and unwilling to change their opinions when the case so merits.
