tartanowl Posted 10 January 2009 Posted 10 January 2009 So do you think a small £5.5 million was a reasonable punishment. That's peanuts compared to what they'd get for survival. You saw what happened to Droylsden when they fielded an ineligible playerI agree though that over the course of the season Sheff Utd just didn't get enough points on the board, but West Ham cheated their way to survival. My argument is more of hatred for West Ham than a soft spot for Sheffield United though Fair play. Personally I think £5.5m is more than enough. United had their chance to stay up and they blew it. It is through their own failings that they didn't stay up. Blaming one player from another club is ridiculous and pathetic IMO. When he first arrived at the club and was playing they didn't win in 9 games. They weren't complaining then were they?
Bert Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 If United had've stay up, I'm sure they wouldn't have kicked off with this Tevez affair.
