SilverFox Posted 26 April 2005 Posted 26 April 2005 Terribly sorry Chandler but it looks like you aren't going to get your wish! I know how desperately you wanted City to be relegated and for us to fail miserably but it seems you might have to keep waiting for that relegation you'd so hoped for...sorry mate! Never mind though, your beloved Coventry play saturday so theres always something to smile about! To everyone else, well done! What a great game tonight and what excellent support. Its been a tough season and we haven't had a lot to shout about, but I thank God that so many of you have had enough sense to get behing the lads and the manager and give your full support! I honestly believe that at times we have made the difference. It would be dangerous to expect the world from the start of next season, but I'm sure we all know that these things don't come overnight, and that if we hang in there TOGETHER! we will return! I have no doubt we are going in the right direction, and I am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with great fans every week! Its those of us who stand together that are important, and despite the efforts of some to deter us and spread their unique brand of anti-Leicester tripe, we have come through. United we stand!
step Posted 26 April 2005 Posted 26 April 2005 The other positive thing about it is that when it came to bringing on a reserve, CL actually had some options available to him.

United we stand! 99386[/snapback] Silver, I hope that you are not taking the line of one swallow making a summer. That was by far the best performance of the season without a doubt but my major worry is that if he had not been injured, CL would have stuck with De Vries and we would not have seen that dominance. As for standing shoulder to shoulder every week with great fans then I think you're getting carried away somewhat. Our fans have in the main been shit all season bar a hardcore few thousand. When we've seen truly excellent support has been on the odd occasion where we've played the opposition off the park, (ermmmm once), the quarter finals of the cup where the glory hunters appeared for 90 minutes and the local derbies of Forest and Derby where tradition dictates that we attend. I await Mr Chandler's retort with interest because he has in fairness been able to claim the high ground on some of the tripe that cL has served up since his arrival (as indeed have the anti Mickey brigade during his reign). I said some weeks ago that I felt more belief in the club than I had for a while then we reverted to type. Last night though made me feel warm again. Bring on Sunday.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 I saw Micky Adams arrive at the ground last night. He wasn't in his own car I'd like to add and also brought a friend along just incase. Everyone just walked past him without saying anything. I'm sure he was proud to see how well his signing Chris Makin did.
step Posted 27 April 2005 Posted 27 April 2005 I to worry that CL might do an PT and akinbadbuy on us. but then I keep reminding myself that CL aint blind and he must see that MDV just aint contibuting.
