James. Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 I would really appreciate some help connecting my keyboard to my computer and getting Cubase to recognise the keyboard so I can start producing some music. I have a Casio CTK-601 keyboard (a decent entry level one), Cubase SX and a MIDI-USB cable. I have connected the keyboard to my computer and when I press keys on the keyboard the "In" LED on the cable flashes. I have also set my keyboard to GM mode. However I really don't know how to get Cubase to recognise the keyboard. Are there any people on here who are familiar with Cubase that can help me? I would love you forever. I've tried messing around with the Device Setup panel in Cubase and other similar options but don't really know what I'm doing. I've looked through the help section and on the internet but not having much joy. Cheers.
Lillehamring Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 i don't have sx, and not running cubase right now, i can have a look if i still have it on my external HD and see whta might help, but can't promise....
Lillehamring Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 no. my cubase doesn't run, sorry. i used to have trouble like this and often it was due to the wrong midi device selected in the track set up in the sequencer window (the section to the left of the tracks where you selected mono/stereo mute/solo etc.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 2 May 2009 Posted 2 May 2009 As Vålerenga says, check the midi input selection in the sequencer window
