Lillehamring Posted 12 June 2009 Posted 12 June 2009 just received a letter from mbna--- after careful consideration we have decided to close your credit card account due to inactivity for the last 12 months ...bare in mind, they have a norwegian address for me, and i had a CREDIT balance... so, i ring up to ask them to not do this and the woman says it is too late, and that i should apply for a new one if i still want to have an account...needless to say she was not the least bit affected by my advising her i no longer have proof of address in UK so that is impossible... and even if i did, i'd never get the credit limit i'd built up from being an A1 customer for the last decade. but what really bugged me was that they didn't think to warn me BEFORE closing my account, i mean do these people even want to retain customers (and a shareholder) twats.
Daggers Posted 12 June 2009 Posted 12 June 2009 MBNA have forgotten to refund the £5 credit on my card which got closed six months ago. I'm letting it tick over because, having written to inform them I'll be charging interest and penalty charges in keeping with their policy, I'm going to be quids in at some point when I settle out of court

It's just a big middle finger to the bank.
