Muz Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 My mums a solicitor so when she gets in from work ill ask her what she thinks you should do. Ill get back to you on that
homer237 Posted 17 August 2004 Author Posted 17 August 2004 In answer to the questions, yes i am still banned. 4 home games and 3 away games! The foxes trust didn't get back to me, I cant afford to be a member right now, I was going to join when i finish my degree but I dont think I will now. Thanks MM, it would be good to know where i stand. My Uncles housemate studied law and he is looking at everything, letters ive sent/received, the terms and conditions of the season ticket and the ground regulations. Basically to tell me what i can do if anything. A few of my mates say they will be chanting innocent songs, , if you hear them and would like to join in go4it.
homer237 Posted 17 August 2004 Author Posted 17 August 2004 Also my mates a derby fan (sheeeeeeeeeep) and he said that during the ipswich game some fans were ejected for persistently standing, but these fans were at least warned first and according to him were warned many times, they were ejected after "using rude hand signals" to the stewards. , wonder what they were

Guest Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 I'm pretty certain that during the Fans Forum meeting regarding standing, KB said it was a three match home ban. It looks like you're being unfairly treated. The fact they waited until you were on the concourse, and didn't get you out whilst you were in your seats says it all. Do you think they might have been afraid of repercussions at the time from witnesses? Hmmmm.....
Newcastle_Fox Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 Used to go School with Kevin Barclays son and was sort of mates with him. His MSN ID is if you wanna abuse/ask him for help. Also used to have his home phone number and mobile number, may still have them. He is a big liar though and talks loads of shit.
Sparky Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 hope it goes well for you matey , im sure everybody on the boards is behind you 100% , would the trust help you out if u was a member ?

Hmmmm..... 12472 I have since read the Football Licencing Accosiation's (or something like that) report on standing and it does say that ejections are to happen at a time when trouble can be limited and when the spectators view can not be blocked, so they are just following orders on this one. As far as the 3 match ban, I really dont understand why ive received a 4 match ban, im challenging the whole ban at the moment though. Did you go to that fans forum meeting? Did they say that the persistent standers (or what they perceive as persistent standers) must be warned first?

I think its just common decency to at least respond to my letter, even if all it says is "we are powerless to do anything".
dynamite foxes Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 what i can't understand is that the club want fans - right but then they ban a load! can't understand it at all

kerryh Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 I wouldn't even bother adding him to your MSN - if Kevin Barclay found out, it wouldn't do you much good! How did you go on with character references?

He used to tell me that his Dad was a director and we was gonna sign all these famous foreign players for £8M etc and didnt believe him. His dad has only recently become safety officer he used to be an electrician at leicester before that. Havent spoken to him for a couple of months.
Newcastle_Fox Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 Know where he lives aswell if u wanna start a protest!
Guest Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Did you go to that fans forum meeting? Did they say that the persistent standers (or what they perceive as persistent standers) must be warned first? 12539 I was at that meeting, but it was nearly 6 months ago. I think they said it was persistent standers. The police and the guy from the Council were pretty good, they seemed to understand the whys and wherefores from the supporters point of view, but you could see that KB wasn't going to tolerate anything, even then. When I get home, I'll see if I still have the minutes. Or you could try the FT website, as they always publish minutes from the Fans Forum meetings.
homer237 Posted 3 September 2004 Author Posted 3 September 2004 Hello There Foxes Fans!! I put an appeal in to Mr Davies himself and just before the Brighton match he went to talk to people who sit around me and spoke to the members of staff involved. I received a letter from him this morning telling me that my and my brother’s ban has been lifted. As you can understand at this moment in time I’m a very happy chappy! I am very impressed in the way that Tim Davies has handled this situation, it is not often you will get a Chief Executive who will investigate in the thorough manner that Tim Davies has done. He is truly an asset to the football club. As yet though I have not been refunded for the games I have had to miss, even though reading some comments many of you would have paid to stay away so far. So cheers for all of your advice and comments, they truly did help out! I can’t finish without saying that the Foxes Trust helped out massively, giving me advice and finding out from the club what paths to follow. So thank you Foxes Trust!
Scow Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Excellent news, Homer. Maybe your return to the Walkers may improve our fortunes.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Firstly, it's way cool that the ban has been lifted Secondly, banned from standing? I very rarely get to home games because I live in a place with terrible public transport, and I only passed my driving test this past April, yadda yadda. But I've had a Lincoln season ticket for the past 4 seasons (£50 for a season, BARGAIN!!), and we spent the majority of every single home match standing. Everybody stands. I read Homer sits on the back row of the kop. My seat at Lincoln is in the second to back row, and the guys in the row behind me have 3 drums, so they have to stand up all match, and have even had the folding down part of the seat removed where their seat is so they have more room with the drums in front of them. So in conclusion, yes, the whole thing was a bloody joke. Getting chucked out for persistently standing, sheesh.
Hullfox Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 I have removed my reply due to it being complete rubbish.
