LOROS Partnership Is A Community Success

Leicester City Football Club's partnership with LOROS has seen the local charity's exposure rise significantly within the community, thanks to a series of recent high-profile activities.

Having been named as the charity promoted on the away shirt, LOROS have also been announced as the official kit suppliers to the Leicester City Legends team, led by 125 Lounge host and Foxes hero, Steve Walsh.

As part of the ongoing relationship, the club have donated the use of the executive boxes for all home matchdays for LOROS patients, staff and supporters.

LOROS Fundraising Manager, Diane Morris, said: "It was a great gesture by the club to firstly donate the shirts to the Legends team and then to allow us the use of the box for matchdays."

She added: "We're especially delighted that the whole community has bought in to the partnership and that shirts are selling well, in our 19 shops across the city and county."

Unbeaten in their opening four matches, Nigel Pearson's men are also yet to concede a goal in the away shirt, after clean sheets at Macclesfield Town and Ipswich Town. Hundreds of those kits have been sold at the 19 LOROS shops, with nearly 2000 away shirts sold in total to date.

Leicester City Football Club Chairman, Milan Mandaric, said: "We are extremely proud to be working with LOROS and are committed to working with them across the city and the wider Leicestershire community."

He added: "As an anniversary kit, paying homage to the first kit worn by Leicester Fosse in 1884, we recognise the importance of this shirt. I want to take this opportunity to personally thank LOROS and our loyal supporters for purchasing and wearing this great shirt and for helping to promote the great work that LOROS do across Leicestershire."

As a twist on the usual promotions for a football kit release, LOROS staff members were asked to model the kit, with the images now pictured on promotional posters around the Walkers Stadium. LOROS staff also featured on the 1st team squad away kit photocall, as part of the official picture.
