Guest Posted 30 September 2009 Posted 30 September 2009 My Son was 15 when he was stood at his friends front gate chatting to him and his other friend when he was called over to a police car and made to sit in the back while they searched him and "checked him on the computer", recorded his name and address and sent him on his way. No explanation as to why he was searched, (his 2 friends werent) and no-one saw fit to inform me even though he was under 16. Just seemed wrong to me. Even if your son had been a naughty boy, there are so many breaches of PACE in that, the chances are charges would be dropped at the first stage. Then people moan about the CPS not doing their job.....
