Basingstoke Fox Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 From the BBC Thats good for football in my opinion. When will people learn that unless the manager has the final say, it will not work?
Thracian Posted 3 November 2009 Posted 3 November 2009 From the BBCThats good for football in my opinion. When will people learn that unless the manager has the final say, it will not work? Absolutely. I hope Pearson has a similar clause in his contract at Leicester.

leicesterfox86 Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 This football blogger goes into more detail on the West Ham / Curbishley situation. Says that it is more proof that managers should have the final say on transfers. It is one of their rights as manager of a football team and if this is taken away, they are right to be angry. Best point he makes though is that.... Can you imagine some suited director of football trying to tell Brian Clough who could play for his team? Or a cigar puffing chairman dictating transfer policy to Bill Shankly? How football has changed!!
