Tommy Posted 15 May 2005 Posted 15 May 2005 Gillingham have parted company with manager Stan Ternent following relegation from the Championship. Ternent took over in December from caretaker John Gorman, who had picked up the reigns when the four-year reign of Andy Hessenthaler ended. But the former Burnley boss was unable to prevent the Gills sliding into League One. That was enough to convince chairman Paul Scally that he needed a fresh start at the Priestfield

Anish Posted 15 May 2005 Posted 15 May 2005 Gillingham were unlucky to go down, Ternent did a good job given their circumstances. Hessanthaler and Gorman left them in deep shit and they did well just to get it down to the wire.
