Clive Redman Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Really good read this... Pearson talking about Vaughan, Fryatt, Cardiff and the reserves... NP on Vaughan... “He’s a player that I know they hold in a very high regard at Everton, but they’ve got one or two players that have recovered from injury which has freed up the opportunity to take him on loan and that’s good for us. "It gives us more options again, which for this final part of the season is important. He’s a player that I know will make a big difference and I think he’ll add a different dimension.” http://www.soarmagazine.co.uk/2010/03/12/pearson-pleased-with-vaughan-capture/
Guest DavidJCW Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 Doesn't look like he's thinking of getting him on a permanent in the summer then...
ScouseFox Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 “He’s never been a porker! But, for him to lose 19lbs illustrates how difficult it’s been for him to take any sort of fuel on board. As it was a double fracture his jaw has been wired together which makes eating pretty problematic. I suppose the worse thing about it is the muscle mass he’s losing.“It potentially extends the recovery time because he’s got to rebuild his muscle mass. For the first four weeks with a fracture like that, it’s very important that you give it the best opportunity to heal. He’s fine though, I saw him on Monday and he can nearly smile now.” surely we won't be seeing Matty again this season if he's lost so much weight?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 surely we won't be seeing Matty again this season if he's lost so much weight? Dads mate broke his jaw playing in goal for Oadby. He had to have it rewired, and could only drink soup for months. Thats probably why Matty's lost alot of weight. Binging on soup. I doubt we'll see him this season. I'd rather have him fully fit ready for next season than rush his fitness. (If he's still here next season)
Jimothy Posted 12 March 2010 Posted 12 March 2010 I like how there is a quote about Matty losing weight because he can't eat properly, and in the picture shows him standing in front of a Pukka Pies board.

(If he's still here next season) I'd be surprised if he left... him breaking his jaw just might be a blessing in disguise as other possible buyers might just drop away as he's not been in the headlines as much... one of the big draws of a player when being signed by a bigger club is how well he's playing for the team lower down... with Matty not playing, we might just be able to hold onto him were we to end up still in this division next year. Not that I'm expecting him to leave... it's just in case really.
