samjohnson Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 From OS: Leicester City have extended the loan deal of striker James Vaughan until the end of the season. Vaughan initially joined the Foxes from Everton on a month long deal, however the 21 year old has agreed to stay on at the Walkers Stadium for the remainder of the campaign. Vaughan was sidelined with a hamstring injury for a couple of weeks following his City debut against Cardiff in March. But the striker has returned to action recently with substitute appearances against West Brom, QPR and Peterborough. The striker has yet to score for the Foxes, altough did provide the header to set-up Andy King's winner at Peterborough on Saturday in a 2-1 victory. LINK!!
Scow Posted 13 April 2010 Posted 13 April 2010 Looked promising in the few sub appearances he's made. Let's hope he doesn't repeat his Peterborough slipping over 'mare.
Ric Flair Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 Excellent news. With Fryatt possibly close to a return, this keeps competition for places at a healthy level.
okie fox Posted 14 April 2010 Posted 14 April 2010 This is a good move. Vaughn has shown glimpses of premiership class. It's going to take Fryatt a while to get match fit, Kermogant hasn't done much and N'Guessan is apparently out of favour at the moment (both as a striker and a winger). So we need Vaughn to compete up front with Waghorn and Howard.
