Dr Pop Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 For those of you making the trip tomorrow, the Lansdowne Pub in Lansdowne Road (Google map it!) is away fan friendly. It's one of the closest pubs to the ground - about a 10 min walk at most. It's a Cardiff pub but always welcomes away fans and never any problems in there. For those looking elsewhere, I would avoid the pubs in the Canton area (Cowbridge Road East) as these are generally packed with Cardiff fans and unfortunately there's always one or two that believe it's their duty to keep out away fans! Plenty of pubs in the town centre, although some again are considered 'Home' pubs so just be sensible which ones you go in. Most other areas of Cardiff should be absolutely fine although as it's a live TV game they will probably be a little busier than usual. I'm still nervous - the local paper down here has been reminding us of when we blew it at home to Stoke in 2002, so believe me, none of us think the job is done yet. Enjoy your day, but hopefully not the result!
Teeno Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Drank in the Landsdowne when we played Cardiff at Ninian Park in the cup a few years back, and can confirm it is an Away friendly 'home' pub!
