I played in the best team I’ve played in. We finished seventh and eighth in the Premier League and got to a cup final, won a cup final, won a Play-off final and had an absolutely marvellous time with a really good manager. “When you’re a kid, you grow up dreaming of being a footballer and they are the sort of times that you hope might happen and they did for me. It was a wonderful, wonderful time and it was a pleasure to be there and play in front of those people and with the players that I did.
