This is for all Cricket Players and lovers of the game.

I started playing today but with no kit as such will be a while before I get myself sorted out soon, so I was hoping that if any players with decent knowledge know any good places for good but cheap/ 2nd hand kit would be brilliant, thanks.

Where do you play and what are you?

Sorry if there is already a thread couldn't see one.

I had a thread going a while back, but it seems to have been lost. Oh well.

There's a fair few decent places for cheapish kit, though I usually just sponge most of mine second hand of guys I play with. lol

Just playing Sunday friendlies for my side this year, decided not to play league on Saturdays this season (had offers to go back to my old club and from a couple of others too) as there won't be many Saturdays I can play, especially once the football season starts. Also wouldn't want to come back from playing my university season (which is only in April and May) to walk straight into a club side back at home at the expense of a youngster who'd been an ever present up til that point. Used to hate that happening to me as a kid.

Played a few games last season but not really good enough to stick it out again, no fun standing in the field for 35 overs then batting at 9 !

Id recommend Talent Cricket mate the guys who own it are really friendly and know their stuff

That sports shop in town next door to m&s has some decent cricket gear. They have a meaty Grey Nicholls in there well over the £100 price.

I remember spending weeks knocking my new bats in. Seen many a bat crack on first use :D

Had a touring Aussie school side come into my work yesterday. They'd been playing Leicester Grammar School.

All of them seemed shocked at how low English wickets were. lol
