marbelladave Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 Whilst I agree that Pearson is limited as a manager, compare him to every manager before him since MON, Micky Adams aside he was far more successful, with the results, the performances, the signings and most importantly the team spirit. He also brought pride and passion back to the club. So yes he is replaceable, and we could do better, but looking at past managers we can do a hell of a lot worse. I still think Pearson has shown a complete lack of class in the way he left us, but I am grateful for what he did here. Only time will tell if this becomes a blessing in disguise. I don't much blame Pearson, there were clearly issues between him and the board on both sides but I believe that, after the approach from Hull was made he expected City to try harder to keep him. I do not know the details but a careful reading of what has been said leads me to think that the board were not all that sad to see Pearson go. He, Pearson, picked up on this and clearly thought it was a good time to go. All managers are replaceable, hopefully we get the right man to do just that.

I was referring to the fact that he has not made any sort of apology or thank you to the fans, that's what has pissed me off. Unless there was an official statement that I've missed.
