breadandcheesebrother Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/news/Super-agent-reported-involved-Leicester-City-inquiries/article-2406138-detail/article.html so mandy has engaged the services of pini zahavi. not a massive surprise given previous relation with him at pompey, and if it helps with bringing in top talent (or plugs alleged gaps in the new manager's address book - according to a disgruntled swansea fan in another thread) so be it. what do people think? seems he serves a secondary purpose of attracting outside investors. I would question whether this is further evidence of transfer policy being controlled at a higher level than the manager's team. we know that in the past mandy has signed players himself or made enquiries (in both cases with limited success). and we can be fairly sure that the last manager objected to this. i wonder whether the new one will have as much of a problem with it. As the agent's interest is in taking commission for transactions (and not in picking the best or most appropriate talent for our squad), i doubt the relationship can be healthy for the club in the long-term. But hey ho!
wirralsimon Posted 13 July 2010 Posted 13 July 2010 Try as I might I just can't see Pini Zahavi haing the best interests of the club at heart. I expect him to focussed on what earns hin the most commission. Simon
