Clive Redman Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 Steve Walsh expresses his concerns about City's defence in his latest blog... "It was a much better defensive performance, but as classy as Moreno is on the ball, for me, he’s never a centre-half. From a centre-back’s point of view, he only won one header all game and made a few mistakes on the ground. He’s a bit of a luxury at Championship level as most teams just don’t let you play and will have taller, stronger front-men to deal with, as I’m sure we’ll see against a Burnley side containing Chris Iwelumo, this Saturday. "I can see Moreno getting found out at the back. He’s better suited to a midfield role and would probably make a good sweeper because of his reading of the game, but I can’t see us playing that system." J.Lisemore Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 The mans right i rekon. Moreno comes across as a defensive midfielder who can pick out a pass.
Guest Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 You know, he may be a Leicester legend but my heart does sink whenever I hear Walshie's spouting off about City - about time he got himself a proper job surely?
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 20 August 2010 Posted 20 August 2010 about time he got himself a proper job surely? How is a Blog a job? He runs a soccer academy with Muzzy and an events company, probably does the blog on the side for some promo. I don't necessarily agree with him about Moreno, but he can have an opinion, make a few points, give a bit of insight. Love stories about things kicking off behind the scenes - Walsh vs Noel Blake. Gladiators ready!
