Steve Walsh talks about tomorrow's key fixture against Cov...

"I’m gutted that I’ll be missing the Cov game as I always enjoy going back there, well the stadium, not the place! I get plenty of stick from their fans about my short spell with the club towards the end of my playing days and I love giving them a bit back as well! It wasn’t the most illustrious spell of my career, but my heart was never going to be in it. I love Leicester City and I’m afraid Coventry didn’t even come close.

"Martyn Waghorn’s left-footed thunderbolt at the Ricoh was one of my highlights of last season and that goal shows exactly how much potential the exciting 20-year-old has. I’ve heard that Waggy’s been bouncing around Belvoir Drive in great form and that his arrival has given everybody a lift. I’m not sure if he’ll be on the pitch from the start on Saturday but, if not, I expect him to come on at some stage and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him mark his second City debut with a goal."

Looks like a few Cov fans have taken exception to Walshy's latest blog.

Here's some reaction on one of their forums...

Think they're embarrased by their poster campaign...

Walshy's blog

Time to Profess my Love to Martyn Waghorn and lots of my Extended Family (you knows who yous are!)

Well the close season has been and gone with the old fella Paulo trying to sign legends but only getting some bloke from the Far East who probably works for our new owners, Yoko Ono or something. We signed Waggy again, I saw him waltzing round the City in his chavvy tracky b's he is a legend.

I'm well up for the (insert name of team here) game tomorrow as some of them think they will beat us. I played for Cov once but because I'm shat they don't like me like Leicester do. Also did I mention I saw Waggy, that goal he scored last season was my most ever favourite Leicester moment ever ever. Waggy is a lovely bloke I saw him somewhere once after he played for us once but before he signed for us the second time and being a striker he may score a goal at some point.

I love Leicester me, well I've got to earn a living writing shite somehow.

What else happened this month, well Stef Oakes phoned me, I saw Fat Elliot in TK Maxx, Muzzy Izzet and Steve Claridge once said something to me.

Bets for this week, Leicester City, Leicester Tigers and Leicester Womens Hockey. You knows it!

Come on Foxes!
