Wycombe Fox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Having only listened to the game, was wondering how the new signings looked and Moreno in midfield? Stringer seemed to be impressed with Moreno and Abe in the first and Vitor seemed to be good yet with a few mistakes Moreno - he was a bit hit-and-miss but he looked better in midfield than when I saw him in defence v Reading (admittedly on the TV). He's got a powerful shot on him. Occasionally seemed to dwell on the ball a bit too long and I found myself shouting 'man on' a bit too often. I think he'll be OK with a few more run-outs in midfield. Vitor - looks like a good signing to me. Seemed quite composed on the ball and put in some handy well-timed, last-man tackles. Abe - very impressed with Abe. Lovely movement both with and without the ball. Always looking for space. Some lovely one-touch stuff and I felt like something was going to happen whenever he had the ball. Tenacious in the challenge too.
JoeyB Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Abe - had some nice touches, and a few good runs, but never got going as he got chopped down most of the time, but looks good Vitor - looked quite solid, and athletic, not match fit but thats to be expected! Moreno - looked better, passed the ball around well, had a rasping drive just turned over, but the jury's still out!
David Guiza Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Agree with the last two posters really. Abe looked classy in midfield, just from the 90 mins you could see why he is an international. Highlight was when he went passed 3 players which eventually set up the Gallagher shot. Vitor looked very good, small for a centre back but didn't look at all out of place and could have scored a bycicle kick at one point. As for Moreno I'm still not sure, showed a good range of passing in what is his prevered position but still seems to be lacking something at times.
