WAGHORN IS A BLUE Posted 27 December 2010 Posted 27 December 2010 going millwall tomoz! is it even that bad ?
Guest NGoloMode Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 No.. you will be held behind for about 30 minutes after the game though behind a metal fence.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 It's very secure. You are filed straight in and out of the ground from the station without touching public areas. You will be held in whilst the police clear the area around the ground & London bridge station which 2 years ago took almost 60 mins. it's pretty tame.
Donut Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Ill be honest with you. there are better away days. But from a security point of view (i think thats the 'gist' of your post) then you wont have any problems because at no point will you ever meet an opposition fan. If you go by coach, on entering and exiting the ground you wont encounter any problems, youre basically ushered in and kept in a large holding area that is surrounded by metal fencing. so youre secure. on the flip side of this you wont be walking around the ground, or finding a local pub etc before the game (if you would want to anyway, but me and my mate usually take a trip around the ground of drink somewhere on an away day). Be prepared for a wait after the game, the police like to clear all the fans away from the surrounding area and pack them off at the train station. Once youre inside the ground, well, its the same as any other away day really, its a smart, modern(ish) stadium with a good view, adequate concourses, TV's etc. im sure youll have a good day at the game, hopefully with a positive result!
sbfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Aye, I think anyone going to Millwall in 2010 for a 1970/80s football revival might be sorely disappointed.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Today I will mostly be sitting with the locals. Looking forward to it.
C.J Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I think we wern't held behind after the game yesterday, because they were happy that thay had won. Compared to the last time I went (in league 1,) it was quite hassle free. It did make me laugh when our driver twatted the fence (coach 4) when making that tight turn out of the ground, and he gave us a nice sightseeing tour over tower bridge and past big ben.
