drc Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 After a dissapointing start it's still not even close to last year. I think we had 5 points after 9 games and we now have 7 points after 5 games. Remeber that even with that horrific start last season we were pushing for playoffs even though it wasn't that close. Now it's an international break and it will be easier to review what's working and what's not cause we have had some good spells at Nottingham, Coventry and Southhampton. We're through in the cup even though it's not that wonderful to have been drawn Cardiff away in the next round. Hopefully we finally we'll get a striker in that I guess was expected to happen sooner rather than later when training formations pre-season. Our main problem last season was defending. We still havenät sold that problem but I think we have the quality (including Tunchev) to get that right. Kasper is definately an improvement to Weale, If we look at our pre-season contenders Forest, West Ham, Blackpool and Birmingham they haven't really started great yet. West Ham have a great squad and you can see that they will be good but they still fail to get the result now and then and they lost at home in the Carling Cup against Aldershot. I think it's ok to criticise the team and the management when things are going wrong but it isn't thad bad. Also we have know finally won at the King Power Stadium, the jinx is gone. I want to be optimistic and therefor I am.
edd Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 We have had both ups and downs at the start of the season. However we do remain just a single point outside the playoffs. and if it wasnt for mistakes at the city ground we would be in them. so yes be positive review of our start to the season http://first4lcfc.blogspot.com/2011/08/stuttering-citys-august-blues.html
