Oh tommy wright Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I've bought tickets in every section of the ground and keep moving around hoping to find a seat where i'm not surrounded by complete *****. It's not going to happen. Was in the East stand today on row kk. 2 minutes gone, 'F#ck off Sven, you dont know what you're doing!!', 'Wellens you ****ing donkey', 'Beckford is worse than Akinbiyi'. At away games, those are the true fans who want to support the team. Those 2,500 - 3,000 fans at home games cannot compete with the other 17,000 ****ing idiots unfortunately. Our fans just dont deserve a performance from our team at the minute. If the team are down we should try and pick them up not ****ing kick them in the head.
Oh tommy wright Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Mate keep moving yourself around the ground loads of empty seats in the ground or if you want to sit somewhere in the ground where it's always nice and calm and quiet where nothing ever happens with someone with the same footballing knowledge as you try the seat next to sven.
Dan Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 The atmosphere at our ground is a fvcking joke. When it's not quiet, it's because there's people moaning at the ref or the team, very rarely is it noisy because we're winning. Seriously, the mentality of our support has got to be the worst in the country. There cannot be a fanbase as bad as ours at home when it comes to getting behind the team.

For ****s sake I dont want it quiet, I want it loud and atmospheric. I want us chanting the players names and cheering the team on. What I dont want is to sit next to some ****wit who after 2 minutes is booing!!! Why do so many think that if you dont want to hear people talking shit it means you want to sit in silence. I dont want ****ing silence. I want a ****ing atmosphere!
Yojoe36 Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I swear and cuss alot. So if you sit in J2, and you are offended by my language, move to B Block. Tossers

Oh tommy wright Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I take your point. But I've just turned 40. I can't moan at my wife she will end up leaving me. If I can't moan at my beloved Leicester city now and again well what's the point. No I don't believe in pointing out individual players for a moan. A collective moan at all the players for shocking performance is far more appropriate. Sven I also like to moan at you. You picked the team and your ever dubious 'formation of the week'. I would also like to moan about the atmosphere and the fat prat with the drum, who i believe adds to the poor atmosphere and lack of originality but i feel i have moaned enough. I now have to sit through the X Factor and STrictly results show with my lovely wife but of course i am not allowed to moan through them. Sorry for moaning! I never go to the ground with the intention of moaning. At least I think I don't.

Especially as i'm sitting here whilst my wife is on the edge of her seat waiting to find out if Frankie Cocozza makes it through to the next stage of the X Factor. I feel your pain!!

Yes. its probably the only outlet of frustration many of is have that will not result in a sulking and mardy wife/partner for the next 3 weeks (1 week in 4 is taken already!) We dont get enough sex as it is!
Burmesefox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I sit in the family stand in block P and there is a bloke in there with his two kids both under 10 I reckon. His swearing (not just under his breath but screaming) was totally out of order. He gave it both barrels, "willy puller, twat, ****, shit bollocks bastard and then ****". he must have screamed obsenities more than 200 times in teh game. i dont mind a bit of bad language but he is surrounded by kids aged 4-10 years old if he wants to do that then go in L1. The stewards told him once to calm down and when he threatened to "bust their ****ing noses" they decided to look the other way. He made the second half even more thoroughly miserable for the 60 or so fans surrounding him, more so than our players did.

We got right behind the team second half when we were 2-0 down tbf, but when you see them play so ineptly you're bound to give up with that at some point, and in anger just start shouting at them. Then again I'd expect the manager to feel the same anger and react in the same way because that's how you react when you care, sometimes you get angry, and they need that kick up the arse. Sometimes, encouragement isn't doing it, sometimes they need the hairdryer treatment like good, passionate managers give out when their team is performing unacceptably. Preferably this should come from the manager, but when the fans see this isn't happening you can't blame them for showing the passion that the manager doesn't. I agree with you about moaning after 2 minutes gone though, that is just stupid.

Seriously, the mentality of our support has got to be the worst in the country. There cannot be a fanbase as bad as ours at home when it comes to getting behind the team. Sorry but you're wrong there. How many away grounds have you been to? Their reaction is generally very similar when they're losing. Forest fans were booing at 2-0 down in the first half, the majority certainly don't vocally get behind their team (a lot of them don't when it's a draw, Barnsley didn't even sing when they were winning). A lot of Leeds fans have stopped going completely just because they don't like the owner. You've also got to look at the circumstances of every club, fans are bound to be more impatient during shit times, when the team is underperforming, when they've been out of the premiership for too long, when they have been underachieving for pretty much all of time. And as I stated in my previous post, 2-0 down to Millwall, the fans were very vocal at the start of the second half, but there's a point for everyone where they get frustrated, and there's a point for everyone when they just give up. 3-0 was that giving up point for a lot of people yesterday, though not everyone. Instead of blaming the fans, how about taking a look at the players, quite a few of whom yesterday had no intention of fighting for the fans and gave us no reason to get behind them at all. It's they who are getting paid for doing that and it is they who are failing us (as is the manager).
