Argentina's luck is beyond belief

Tonight reminded me a bit of a Euro 2024 game. We were pretty bad by most measures but we still won it against a pretty good side. We are clearly of a pretty good level now. I do think we'd have to up it a notch against Argentina though.

I tell you what, I don't think we'll quite go all the way, but we are there or thereabouts pretty much every tournament nowadays. One of them's going to click for England. Maybe it is this one.

Think in terms of shot stopping his numbers were remarkably even worse than Ward's. Which is utterly extraordinary. No but I'd not be one bit surprised either. Fallen down the pecking order at Southampton, played under Martin, plus the very obvious Southampton link in general. It'd be a very us signing.

I'd sooner face Spain than France I think for England. These two look like the best two sides in the competition, but France are the pick. The attack is ridiculous.

Is funny when you randomly cross paths with these players again on football trips. I ended up seeing Ndidi, and Cengiz Under miss a penalty for Besiktas - come to think of it that's actually the only time I ever saw Under play live.
