Rincewind Posted 19 January 2012 Posted 19 January 2012 http://docfilmfestiv...m-schedule.html http://docfilmfestival.blogspot.com/p/dogwoof-films.html More detail about films on. On at phoenix Square. I have a free pass so may go to the Sunday showings and maybe early Saturday ones. Not sure if I want to listen to the City game. Saints are on form and not so confident as I used to be.

Rincewind Posted 22 January 2012 Author Posted 22 January 2012 Qatched that Blood on The Phone today. Misted the first 15 minutes so I may have missed the nasty bit. A lot of it was the film-maker trying to get the head of Nokia to do something about where they receive the metal from for their phones. They said 'We are aware about what is happening in the Congo and these things take time.' They have known about the situation for 10 years and the interviewer said 'I have young children dying, am I supposed to go back and say to them, Nokia are aware but something will be done in the long term? http://4.bp.blogspot...25_150_s_c1.jpg Also saw a doc about Scott and his exebition to the Antartic. It was B/W and made by someone in the twenties. A film-maker followed the trip. Just one thing puzzled me. Who was doing the long shots of the sleds when they were all exhaused and dying? Scott got withing 11 miles of the camp where supplies were. Beaten to the pole by Admunson from Norway who took a shorter route.
