City only seem to want to know people who tall for their age as he's on the short side he doesn't get a chance. He's had forest and derby sniffing around for ages but he's city through. They need to get there act together

Anyway the lads quality, im not just saying because he's my brother. The people responsible for recruitment to the academy agree but will not give him a chance unless he gets taller. My point is that their policy is all fcuked up all of England top strikers are not tall in the slightest!
Macca4lcfc Posted 20 August 2004 Posted 20 August 2004 i scored 60 goals before i signed for city, im not the tallest so i doubt that will be why he never got signed. there is quite a few small players here aswell. we have one of the smallest teams around. Maybe he didnt hold it up well enough upfront so they didnt want him, cos thats the main thing. maybe they sed he needs to be bigger so he can hold people off more.

South Bedforshire are the strongest district in the South East and that includes all London Boroughs. Luton schools have consistently provided National champions. The winner of the East Anglia cup has come from our league on the last 5 occaisions. If anyuthing it is a very strong league. 30 Goals is just not good enough at Youth level. The difference between Sunday league football level and academy level is immense and especially in the standard of defending. There are no weak defenders at Academy level and the defences are soooooo much more organised. If you are only scoring 30 goals at Sunday level you would struggle to score double figures at Academy level neve rmind professional.
