Firstly, I totally understand if this is closed or moderated, removed, whatever. There are a number of requests of support for charitable undertakings on foxestalk at the moment and I don't want to steal their thunder or divert any money away from them - although what I'm offering here is a little bit different

The JMW Trust, which is a charity which supports predominately local, but essential, cancer causes and concerns, which might otherwise have to cease offering their vital services, introduces its Olympic Envelope Sweep.

With London Olympics fast approaching, why not add a bit more interest and the possibility of winning some money?

We have an envelope for EVERY nation competing in 2012 Olympics. Randomised and sealed.

We are selling each envelope for £10.

For every medal earned by your team, a cash amount will be awarded. I believe its £2.50 a gold, £1.50 a silver and £.50 a bronze. I will be checking this up with my fellow trustee. I will confirm.

We have sold lots and lots - but still have a decent batch up for grabs. Like I say, I don't want to take any attention from the other charity bits underway here and I'm confident of selling them all in time anyway, but I wanted to offer everyone a chance if interested.

Once all envelopes sold, I'm happy to open up your envelopes and let you know your teams.

Thanks. It genuinely is nothing though! My co-trustee sorted all the envelopes and came up with the idea. Its a good money maker for us though. We only just make a couple/few hundred quid if everyone claims, but we just can't see people claiming say 50p, although of course you are more than entitled to, but its something we considered.

I've also had quite a few people buy 2, 1 for them and 1 for the Trust, which is a really nice gesture.

For those in the Kent area, probably none, we've got this year our annual quiz (questions written by me) March 17th, 30 mile walk round Tunbridge Wells (sponsored), JMW Super 8's cricket tournament and our October Dinner Dance. All Kent based stuff though.
