midlands premier league under 16's

Hi All, I'm starting an under 16's team (Lutterworth Athletic) next season (2012-13) to play in the Midlands Junior Prem. The standard is very, very good and i'm looking for

1) players if you know of any who will be year 11 next school year and would like to try out &

2) teams to play against so if you are playing in / managing an under 17's / 18's team next year and fancy giving us a game then PM me and we can sort it out.

IMHO the standard is good amonsgt the top teams but the mid table sides would struggle in Leics Div 1 and the bottom sides are poor and are miles away from Lutterworth - however the facilities in general are good and its nice to play some different teams so I can see why peoplare attracted by the MJPL

It also illustrates how strong the Leics leagues are as I think our teams won 3 out of the 4 leagues they entered ( forgetting about the stupid playoff system )

Obviously the Whetstone/Wigston team are one of the best teams around so I'm sure they will continue in that vain at Lutterworth

You didn't do braziian soccer by any chance.

Having watched a fair few games I'm inclined to agree with you, and Leicester leagues are, for some reason, usualy very strong in comparrison to others. The Play off system is a strange one, but the league have chosen to adopt the rugby style end to their season and they seem to be pleased with the way it works?? i'll let you know next year what I think And although Wigston are moving to Lutterworth that isn't the team i'm putting together, there will be two teams playing out of LAFC. Should be interesting, and i'm looking forward to it now.

I was involved in a soccer school but not the brazilian Soccer, I was a coach for "Coerver" instead.
