Jamaican Bobsled running Team

I don't know if we're allowed to put up charity pleas here (?), but here goes.

Basically, 3 friends and I ran the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon in Glasgow, on Sunday 2nd September, to raise money for two great charities - Erskine, who run care homes for ex-servicemen, and Maggie's, who support cancer patients and their families.

To make it more interesting we ran as the Jamaican Bobsled Team, with full lycra suits and a model bobsled crafted out of bamboo, chicken wire, cardboard, string and lots of tape.

So far we've raised £615 (excluding gift aid) and really want to reach our target of £800.

I know most folk are pretty good at giving to charity and you have probably already donated generously this year. But please take a look at the photos on our webpage here http://uk.virginmone...JamaicanBobsled and decide if you think we are worth a pound or two!

Cheers,

David

Don't forget the socks to stuff down the front for the full authentic Jamaican effect

Good luck with the event, seriously
